Deluxe Designing
A premium glamorous design is the best thing this mid-range phone comes up with. A curved glass display that seamlessly meets the rounded metallic frame, making it infinitely beautiful and attractive in hands. Although it is not fully metallic as rear panel is made up of plastic. With only 137.4 grams of weight and 7.9mm of thickness, it is quite compact in hand and pocket as well. The right edge of phone has a power button, volume keys, and a snapper key while the left side has only a slot for card tray. The bottom contains a microUSB Cable slot and a mono speaker grille, 3.5 mm jack is shifted on the top of the handset.
Pleasant HD Display
Most of the mid-range smartphone has Full HD (1080p) resolutions nowadays, but this handset has 720p resolutions which is still quite sharp with decent colour saturation. The viewing experience is pleasing as it also configured with Mobile BRAVIA engine 2 and for better outdoor legibility there is Super Vivid mode. The 2.5D curved glass not only enhancing the look but also comes up with Scratch-resistant glass.

To improve the picture quality Sony provided 13 MP Primary camera with Exmor RS for mobile sensor and Hybrid Auto-Focus, This is true that it takes sharp and vibrant photos in daylight condition but with little artificial color filling. It still struggles to capture details as light source become dim or little insufficient. Overall the rear camera is an average performer in different lighting condition. 8 MP secondary camera also featuring Sony Exmor R for mobile sensor and a decent 88-degree Wide angle lens so you can cover more area in a single shot, it also has HDR mode for taking beautiful selfies.
Balance performace only for Mediocre user
Sony decided to move towards MediaTek chipset for their mid-range series. Particularly this handset is powered by the Helio P10 64-bit Octa-Core processor. Out of 8 cores, four are clocked at 2.0 GHz for intensive tasks while other four cores clocked at 1.0 GHz for basic tasking. For day to day use it is running with no problem but as the phone is loaded with apps it starts showing the hiccups. This phone is not for the people who are more in heavy graphic intensive use. There is 2 GB RAM inside the phone which frequently need to be cleaned to free some RAM.
Battery is not enough
The battery of Xperia XA is a thing that is not impressive by any mean, although a user can extend its backup by using Stamina or Ultra Stamina Power saving modes. It can run from morning to night for a mediocre user but don't expect too much if you are a heavy user.
